Who knew when the Wizarding World of Harry Potter first opened at Universal Studious Islands of Adventure, that it was just a tease for what was to come. Hogsmeade is lovingly created, and Hogwarts is unbelievably beautiful, but or all the care and authenticity that went into it, you’ll never forget you’re in a theme park.
Miraculously, you won’t feel that way when you walk into Diagon Alley, Universal’s newest addition to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Diagon Alley is completely secluded–a world unto itself.
The promotional materials says you can enter in one of two ways: directly at Universal Studios Florida or by riding the Hogwarts Express from Universal’s Islands of Adventure. This is somewhat disingenuous. The Hogwarts express doesn’t let passengers off inside Diagon Alley, but outside at a mock-up of London’s King’s Cross Station. Platform 9 3/4 of course.
